Distraction to Focus
Daily life provides distractions. These distractions more often than not are things that are the right or the correct thing to do, but just the wrong timing. We need to see them and move to focus on the Lord Jesus Christ instead.

"38 Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. 39 And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”
41 And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. 42 But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”"
Luke 10:38-42
Martha had the most important person in her house, but instead she was focused on chores, hospitality, and not on her guest. It is important to understand the moments that Jesus wants to sit with you and talk to you. It is important to me sensitive to the Holy Spirit. It's important to understand when we need to take the moment to talk to God, to pray, to fast.
Unfortunately, we get caught up sometimes in the mundane everyday task of life and get distracted from our connection, relationship, and time with the Lord. This is to say the tasks and the reason for the distraction can be important, but maybe it can be done at a different moment.
"You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You."
Isaiah 26:3
I pray that the Lord grants you decerment to refocus on Him. To see the distractions in your life that are causing you miss out on great opportunities with Him. That you may be like Mary and when you see these moments to focus on Him and what He has to say, that you take advantage of them. In the name of Jesus, amen.
