I have been on vacation from work for the last two weeks and today is my first day back.
I have to tell you patience is something that needs constant work. At the tail end of my vacation I was winded. I was losing my patience with my son. He started acting out and would not listen for nothing and no one. I was reaching my breaking point of needing space to regenerate my social battery.
When my wife and I take vacation from work we always keep our son with us. Specially in moments like now where he is 3 and pre-preschool do not cause a fuzz cause he doesn't show up.
I was on hoping on some alone time while I worked from home, but God had other plans and my son was not able to show up in school until a flu shot record. I have been asking for the building of my patience. Oh, that he made sure I got.
This morning all I could think of was this verse - "Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is a hasty temper exalts folly" - Proverbs 14:29 ESV.
I don't want to cause my son the believe that he is a burden and bothersome when in fact I am the issue.
I have been praying for this fault of mine particularly. I need the Lord's help.
Please help me pray for this matter.
